Own a piece of local history in a local company’s player piano!
About the Piano:
Recently, I had this piano professionally looked at and here was the report–
The good news:
The player mechanism still works! You can either plug it in, or use the foot pumps. While I don’t have a roll to test it out to verify everything, it was looking pretty good!
The bad news:
The tuning board is damaged, and the piano technician felt that he could not safely bring it up to tune. Said the closest he could get it is about a note flat. Of course this means too, that any notes played
In addition, the piano needs some further cleaning and the wood is built with a veneer that would carefully need to be stripped and refinished if you cared about how that is currently looking.
Essentially, it breaks my heart but I am ready to have this taken by the junk company, but I wanted to give folks a shot at it with a clear picture of what is up in case someone would be excited about this!
Must be moved by taker, carefully without scratching wood floor, but only four stairs down the back and you can pull up closely to load it!
Let me know, thanks!
