My father taught high school choral music and voice for 37 years in the Philadelphia suburbs. This is his piano that he played for over 45 years, the one that I grew up with in the 70s and 80s. It’s well-loved, but also well-cared for. It needs tuning because it hasn’t been played in a while. It comes with the original black bench which has a compartment that holds music.
There is some cosmetic damage to the corners of the piano bench (where both our family dog and I as a toddler teethed in the late 1960s!). It is an easy repair and doesn’t affect the ability to open the top of the bench or how the piano plays.
The adopter needs to move the piano.
*It must be taken between 1pm Wednesday, 6/8 and 6pm Friday 6/10. In some circumstances I can extend that time to Monday, 6/13. *
It lives on the 4th floor of a condominium building that has a freight elevator with easy access to the lobby door.
Both my dad and I hope that our piano can go to someone who would love and play it regularly – a theater troupe, a community center, a synagogue, Jewish, Muslim or secular charity or a family.
