My grandparents bought this Lester “Betsy Ross Spinet” piano new in 1950 for my mom when she was in first grade. She went on to get a music education degree and also played the organ. I grew up playing piano and violin and also have a music degree. I now have this piano and had it repaired and refurbished inside. It’s in beautiful playing condition with a full, rich sound.
Unfortunately, I just had to leave my husband and start over in another state, and I’m not able to take this piano with me. It remains in St Louis, and I’d love to donate this lovely vintage piano to a charity, school, church, nursing home or family. It would make a great starter piano for anyone learning to play.
It’s located on the first floor of a house right by the front door, with only one step to carry it out the door. I’m not asking for money for the piano as I know it’s not cheap to get into playing the piano, but looking for serious adopters that could split the cost of moving with me and give it a good home.
